Climbing Higher Pictures is an independent film development and production company that was founded in 2002 by Ryan Hamelin. The company has overseen the production of short films, music videos, documentaries, and various advertising campaigns. Our focus and mission is to inspire and empower young artists in the field of film production in the hopes of fostering new talent and provide a springboard for new ideas.

We are committed to creating the sorts of films we enjoy watching, and look to new media in an effort to inform the future of the industry and the way movies are created. It is our understanding that a good story, told well, can be both thought provoking and entertaining, and we do not subscribe to the idea that a motion picture has to be one or the other to satisfy an audience.

In light of this belief, we are actively investigating creating content for the burgeoning 3D market, in an effort to expand independent movie-making into a venue exclusively occupied by the titans of the film industry. With new technology, it is possible for even a small budget to transport an audience to another world, and we feel it is our duty to explore the possibilities of the medium while leaving behind the limitations of the past.

This site was created as a means of providing information on our upcoming films, as well as giving access to our more recent projects. In the meantime, it will also act as a blog, and primarily host exclusive early reviews of upcoming films in conjunction with our partners at TheCinemaSource.com. It is our hope that as the site grows, so too will the audience, and with any luck, we’ll to be able to share some exciting news about our projects in the near future.
